E is for emergency

This week was all about the letter and and emergency situations. We started the week off with talking about fire emergency and what to do when we clutch on fire. We talked a lot about stop drop and rolling and even what fires can look like.

One activity we did I placed out a plate or paints and paper and had the children finger paint what the thought fire looked like.

Then I cut out a few flames, made out of red and orange construction paper.

Then taped them on to each child, to practice what to do if their clothes caught on fire.
They had a lot of fun discussing the stop drop and roll technique.

We also talked about who is a stranger and what we should do if a stranger comes up to us.
We created stranger masks using paper plates, maker, crayons and out box of collage items . Then wore the mask to practice the scenarios of what a stranger would say and ask.
